Papad Making Machines- Things to know

The thickness of the papad can be adjusted in the machine by chanching the clearance between the roller and polpat. Since it is foot operated, minimal amount of effort and skill in needed.  A manual machine consists of a heavy duty fabricated structure covered in stainless steel sheet. Cast iron chrome plated (stainless steel optional) palpate rotate at 0.5 H.P (0.375Kw) electric motor. The revolving guide having four deep groove ball bearings is driven by palpate and is operated using one’s foot. A specialised limit switch is given with the machine which will enable starting the electric motor when the revolving guide and palpate comes into contact.
Manual machines are primarily used for cottage scale production of papad. Raw materials for making papad are easily available even in rural areas, which can be used for starting a cottage level of industry. It can be a good source of income for rural areas with little investment and minimal amount of labour orientation. Since it involves no or little consumption of electricity it is suited to the needs of rural area people. It is an ideal appliance for them to use and earn. It is more suited to the needs of people with little or no literacy, since it involves no elaborate process of operation. No training or guidance is needed for using this machine for papad making.
